Powerful inspirations abound; it could be from a feeling, a memory, a milestone, all of which are unique to each person. Customisation is a signature service of ours, and we appreciate that customising a jewel can be deeply personal, and so, it could also seem intimidating.
We thought to take this chance to share the journey of a customised jewel with you a step at a time.

We always begin with a conversation often over a cup of our freshly brewed house blend tea and a walk through our boutique. Clients may share more about the occasion (even if it’s a just because), and together we discover which B.P.’s signature silhouettes ignite interest, according to style preferences, and your lifestyle, too.

Choosing The Gemstone
(or, perhaps when the Gemstone Chooses You)
Based on our clients’ sharing, B.P. de Silva Jewellery Specialists then proceed to bring out some exquisite treasures within our Natural Gem Library, which is home to over 150,000 different natural gemstones.
From rare fancy coloured yellow Diamonds, to royal blue Sapphires, to bi-coloured or teal Tourmalines, to Blue Sheen Moonstones and more, let us meet you where your jewellery dreams are at. Our Jewellery Specialists are thrilled to listen and advise accordingly.
What often also happens under the magic of the natural light which floods our boutique, is that moment of knowing, almost as if the gemstone catches the light just right. The one that speaks to you, and you just know.
Decisions, Decisions – and How We Can Help Make It Easier
There are times when more than one gemstone catches one’s eye; and sometimes, the precious metal colourway depends on choosing the gemstone too. We know the struggle, so we find ways to help visualise the best pairing(s) possible. Different colourways bring their own character and emotion to the final piece.
Through customisation, clients may also be able to explore the different shapes or orientations of your chosen that align best with what our clients have in mind. Instead of an Emerald Cut, perhaps an Oval-cut gemstone may be more suited for you, or the person you have in mind.

Revealing Your Customised B.P. de Silva Jewellery
Then comes the moment we all look forward to most after 6-8 weeks (the timing may vary depending on the complexity of the design, as well as the extent of customisation) — the reveal! There’s something truly moving about seeing your finished jewel for the first time, and it’s just as special for us, to be unveiling it for you, or the loved one you may be gifting it to.
It’s a keepsake like no other; it’s an extension of you, a meaningful memento of your story. A jewel to carry with you through the chapters ahead, for a lifetime and more, to come.
