B.P. de Silva Aquamarine Jewellery in Singapore

Aquamarine, with its ethereal blue hues reminiscent of tranquil waters, has captivated hearts globally, and adorned royalty for centuries. At B.P. de Silva, we curate a collection of Aquamarine jewellery that highlights each Aquamarine’s serene beauty and timeless elegance.

Exploring the Spectrum of Aquamarine

Aquamarine, a gemstone belonging to the beryl family, is prized for its captivating blue to blue-green hues, reminiscent of the tranquil depths of the ocean. Its name, derived from the Latin words "aqua" (water) and "marina" (of the sea), reflects its association with the calming and rejuvenating qualities of water.

At B.P. de Silva, our Aquamarine jewellery showcase the gem's versatility and timeless appeal. From delicate Aquamarine jewellery sets featuring matching earrings and necklaces to statement rings that capture the gem's captivating brilliance, our curation offers contemporary designs for discerning tastes.

Understanding How Aquamarine is Graded

As is the case with most gemstones, including Diamonds, Aquamarines are assessed based on the 4Cs: Colour, Clarity, Cut, and Carat weight. The most desirable Aquamarines possess a vivid, intensely saturated blue hue, reminiscent of dazzling seas. Clarity, or the absence of inclusions, further enhances the gem's brilliance and allure. A well-proportioned cut maximises the gem's sparkle and fire. Finally, carat weight contributes to its overall presence and impact. At B.P. de Silva, our gemologists meticulously select each Aquamarine for its exceptional quality and character, ensuring that every piece of Aquamarine fine jewellery meets our exacting standards.

Caring for Your Aquamarine Jewellery

To ensure your Aquamarine jewellery set remain as radiant as the day you first acquired them, here are some essential care tips:

  • Gentle cleaning: Clean your Aquamarine jewellery with warm, soapy water and a soft cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners that could damage the stone's delicate surface.
  • Safe storage: Store your Aquamarine jewellery separately from other pieces to prevent scratching. Store them back inside your B.P. de Silva jewellery pouch, or a lined jewellery box is ideal to prevent contact with other jewels.
  • Protect from impact: Avoid wearing your Aquamarine jewellery during strenuous activities or when there's a risk of impact.
  • Avoid extreme temperatures: Avoid exposing your jewellery to extreme heat or cold, such as direct sunlight or freezing temperatures
  • Professional cleaning: For a thorough cleaning and inspection, consider having your Aquamarine jewellery professionally cleaned by B.P. de Silva at least once a year.
