B.P. de Silva: 150 Years In The Making
For us at B.P.’s, 2022 is an incredibly special year; it’s the year we celebrated our brand’s 150th anniversary, and it’s a time so filled with meaningful firsts, and milestones that came to life years after we dreamed them.
None of this could have happened without the support of the people and kindred spirits around us, and the ones who lay the foundation before us, too. So we wanted to take this opportunity to look back on this year together with you, our wonderful community.
BECOMING A CERTIFIED B.CORPORATION AND UNLOCKING A GLOBAL ACHIEVEMENT
Becoming B.Corporation certified brand marked a grand chapter in B.P. de Silva’s story as an Independent Luxury Jeweller. As a brand with over a century to audit and refine, the 3-year assessment with B Corp was an incredibly stringent process.
B.P. de Silva is committed to having a more traceable supply chain.
Our perpetual aim is to integrate values-backed decision making across the organisation in a more structured way to empower our teams; whether it's concerning the type of materials we craft with, the partners we work with, and overall governance and responsible labour.
And it’s still only just the beginning.

B.P. de Silva Flagship Boutique featured on the Straits Times in July 2022.The journey in creating a home for B.P.’s 5th generation took years of hopeful dreams and careful planning. For us, it was always integral to find a cosy space that both calms and inspires; a home where we could share special experiences with our clients, friends and family; having a fresh brew of Ceylon tea whilst poring over jewellery and safekeeping life’s most meaningful moments.
In June, the doors to our Flagship Boutique opened and we received more love than we could’ve asked for. It’s a priceless memory that we will continue to treasure.
Through the opening of our flagship boutique, we’ve had the opportunity to meet so many of you, and to showcase more of our jewellery designs and experiences. #GemGeeks, jewellery lovers and their loved ones are always welcome!

OUR FIRST FULL HIGH JEWELLERY COLLECTION
Whilst we’ve had years of crafting high jewellery designs for discerning clients through our Bespoke Journey, this year saw the launch of our first full range of them. Our Heritage High Jewellery Collection was launched through a private showcase of five one-of-a-kind High jewel pieces, celebrating 150 years of Heritage and Craftsmanship.

Each High Jewel is a jeweller’s interpretation for each of our 5 generations. It took more than a year of extensive research and development for the team, together with the finesse and technical mastery of our Master Craftsmen to bring the vision of each jewel to life.

A wonderful, wonderful honour, for all of us at B.P.’s since our first generation, has always been creating keepsakes of love. Whether it’s engagement rings that have gone to sail the seas for that monumental surprise - or wedding bands and bridal jewels/Si Dian Jin to say #Ido with, right here in our sunny island home.

LAUNCHING A FIRST OF ITS KIND JEWELLERY CREATION:
THE OLD WORLD CHARM DIAMOND CONVERTIBLE NECKLACE
What started out with a letter that crossed seas, written by a wedding client of B.P. de Silva’s. Mr W has been a client of the brand since our first Atelier along High Street, and to date, his warm words continue to inspire and move us.
Two years ago, he wrote to us requesting a new keepsake for his wife – and that very letter sparked the ideation of our Old World Charm™ Convertible Necklace: a thoughtful and functional piece which transforms into a wax seal with the help of a fine mechanism.
A solid gold debossed initial stamp is presented, to capture the traditional element of wax sealing, imbued into the design. Each one is accompanied by a Wax Melting Kit, to compliment the complete experience and intention of the design.
For this collection, we were thrilled to encourage the time-honoured art of letter writing with our Old World Charm Bar at our Flagship Boutique where our guests penned a letter to their loved ones and stamped their initials with wax to seal the sentiments. 
Our guests were also treated to a personalised holiday card, drawn by the talented Grace Ciao; a little touch to remember the day by.
