Founded in 1872, B.P. de Silva, began his illustrious career by crafting fine keepsakes commissioned by a discerning clientele, including royalty across the globe.
From engagement rings to family heirlooms, his creations have always been emblems of precious stories, preserving the memories and legacies of those who wear them. 5 Generations later, and safekeeping stories is still our mission, and our Bespoke Journey continues to be one of our most requested services.
Explorations and iterations at the Designer’s Desk.
It all starts with understanding the clients’ story over a cup of tea. At each appointment, there’s something to look forward to, like when our Jewellery Specialists curate a selection of fine gemstones from our Natural Gem Library to explore, or when one of our Designers will also present design ideas based on our clients’ story. It can be a more geometric Art-Deco design, a contemporary trilogy with side gemstones, or as classic as it gets: a solitaire with the clients' cut of choice.
It can take 8 - 12 weeks to craft a bespoke jewel, or sometimes more, depending on the complexity of the design.
Bespoke Engagement Rings that Reflect Your Love Story
Our bespoke clients JH & E chose a rare, natural 2.10-carat Teal Sapphire from the B.P. de Silva Natural Gem Library as the centrepiece of the engagement ring.
Some clients choose gemstones or Diamonds specifically to remind them of a particular special moment (e.g. geometric cuts arranged as an ode to a particular landmark or architecture for example), or even to mark a memory yet to be made – like choosing a sunset-hued Padparadscha Sapphire to commemorate the actual proposal planned at dusk. Some clients choose a Teal or Blue Sapphire reminiscent of the pristine waters during their honeymoon in the Maldives.
B.P.’s bespoke ring shines brightly in Iceland. K chose Morganite as the main gemstone because the pink hue presents a softness that reminds her of her beloved.

B.P. de Silva’s Design Team created silhouettes of sweeping mountain ranges, a detail that celebrates the couple’s penchant for hiking, as well as a tribute to their shared journeys thus far, and the many more to come.

During a visit to our Flagship Boutique, S was captivated by the Kite-Shaped Diamond on our Jazz Age Breakthrough Ring. Little did she know, R was listening closely, and secretly commissioned a bespoke Kite-Shaped Diamond Convertible pendant, custom-designed to match a pair of Kite Shaped Diamond Stud Earrings.
