At the centre of the necklace lies a 9ct vivid Royal Blue Cushion-cut Sapphire from Sri Lanka, natural and untreated by heat. For B.P. de Silva, the Sapphire is more than a gemstone—it is a symbol of our beginnings. It recalls our Founder’s voyage by sea with his father, guided by bold aspirations and a pocketful of precious gems. That three-year odyssey led to a new beginning: the founding of our first atelier in Singapore, in 1872.
