Dempsey holds a special place in many of our hearts, be it due to celebrations with our loved ones (birthdays and anniversaries; romantic dates; and weddings, even!), or for the simple reason that it offers us a mini respite amidst bustling, busy Singapore life.
Dempsey is especially meaningful to the team at B.P.’s, as it marks the place where we open our first standalone home. Having been here for a few months now, we wanted to invite you to walk with us through some of our favourite spaces and experiences in the area.

Celebrate Bungalow 55's 10th Anniversary
The beautiful Bungalow 55 showroom at Block 8D
Nestled at Block 8D, lies Bungalow 55, a homeware and furniture boutique filled with unique finds from all over the world, predominantly the US, Australia and Holland. As you walk in, be greeted by friendly staff, a curation of imported home decor with floor to ceiling windows overlooking an uninterrupted view of greenery.
Opened by Nina Beale in 2012, Bungalow 55 offers a “home” styled environment, anchored with finds of fine quality all across the space. A passion project for its Founder, each space is lovingly decorated with intention – a nod to Nina’s bright and welcoming interior design style.

Claudine’s hashtag says it all - it is the place of choice for an experience that balances decadent food inspired by the simple pleasures of home-cooking and a lavish ambience perfect for get-togethers, intimate meals for two or even a weekend family affair.
Some of life’s sweetest memories come from the warmth of a hearty meal, vibrant conversations, and any moment spent with loved ones; Claudine is home to all of that.
Experience Julien Royer (Chef-Patron of Claudine) favourite classics he grew up eating, and cooking for friends and family at home in France.
Some of B.P.’s team favourites include: Mozambique Langoustine (a beautiful seafood bisque poured tableside, cradling crustacean dumplings enriched with kombu puree and langoustine pan-roasted in butter) and the Claudine Bouillabaisse, a take on the hearty classic Provençal fish stew - a rich flavour that was developed over the years Chef Julien Royer has spent living in Singapore.

A Sunset Affair
Min Jiang's at Dempsey, a beloved name
for exquisite Chinese fare
Chances are you've already heard of Min Jiang at Dempsey. It may already even be your favourite weekly hangout, and we can't blame you; the experience they offer is quite addictive, especially at sundown.
With a generous dining area, each table is afforded space and privacy, perfect for romantic nights out. The large windows accentuate a combination of natural light and greenery, and the effect is mirrored by elements of specially curated interior foliage, too.
The food here needs little to no introduction. Master Chef Goh’s understanding of the intricacies in Cantonese and Sichuan cuisine is apparent, preserving familiar flavours of tradition in contemporary presentation. A deep appreciation of nature also shines through.

The dim sum dishes are especially beloved; in fact, one of Gem Specialists can’t help but praise Min Jiang’s wood-fired Peking Duck (it’s even been featured in Lifestyle Asia as one of Singapore’s best!). Her comment, “With Peking duck, there are many ways to enjoy that single dish, and with Min Jiang’s aromatic rendition, I can’t even choose my favourite way to eat it; each way has its charm, and is just so good!”

A Charming Night of Tipples and Sharing Plates
The alluring and experiential Siri House
For those who are looking for a unique lifestyle space, Siri House at Dempsey is the destination, especially for creative souls. Intimate spaces are offered throughout the space created for different moods and activities: the Collective Market Shop, which is a nexus for up and coming young artists and designers offers a distinct retail area for exploration; in contrast, its main restaurant area features elegant detailing, whilst its alfresco wing offers a relaxed atmosphere under the stars.
“When the weather in Singapore takes a cooler turn in the October to December months, alfresco at Siri House is really one of my favourite hangouts with friends.” shares one of our team members in B.P. de Silva’s Production team.
The restaurant at Siri House offers a sumptuous array of Contemporary Asian sharing plates. Their dishes traverse geographical boundaries, with an eclectic fusion of flavours and influences, which is what makes it such a charming place to hold private dining events, and intimate weddings.
And for the after party, guests can request for bespoke tipples, mixed with house made infusions and distillates specially made for Siri House’s cocktail programme. They also offer Siri Sunday Wine Nights.

Maduro: Where the Love of Jazz and Connection collides
For us at B.P.’s, the Jazz Age brings a wealth of inspiration for our designs and even for the music we sometimes play in our Flagship Boutique.
But to experience the full ambience of a contemporary Jazz Lounge, visit Maduro. Filled with lush seating areas, bespoke art, music, and a fine library of wine and whisky - it’s a haven to unwind at.
The birth of Maduro was founded by Mr P, a successful real estate broker who was looking to rekindle his love for music, and also fuelled by a strong desire to create a unique space where a community of wine and whisky connoisseurs can connect.
While on the other hand, Maduro is a listening lounge devoted to preserving the virtuosity of the classics. Being a patron of the arts and a keen piano player, Mr P is passionate about contributing to the local arts scene whilst building a community of like minded individuals.
