When our founder, Balage Porolis de Silva, established B.P. de Silva Jewellers in 1872, he began a tradition that would continue, across a century and more. Serving each guest earnestly with a cup of tea, he would share more about the world of jewellery and natural gemstones – both incredibly significant to his roots in Galle.
This act of hospitality was something so simple, but meaningful, for it allowed him and his team to connect with the B.P. de Silva community even then.
As we continue this tradition today, we’ve received interest from our signature blends that we launched in 2022, and the most requested one is our Singapore Summer blend – a taste only to be had within our flagship boutique’s walls, during your consultations, and our Tea & Jewel Private Room Pairing Experience.
Exclusive to B.P. de Silva, Inspired by Heritage:
We dedicated over a year’s R&D with tea masters in Singapore and Sri Lanka, before deciding on our flavours. For our Singapore Summer brew, we wanted it to be a taste that feels like its name: something representative of our tropical island home, and also paid homage to Sri Lanka’s rich history in tea.
Caffeine-free, and refreshing: to be enjoyed hot, or cold
The blend opens with vibrant notes of tropical pineapple and ripe cherry, followed by a delicate citrusy sweetness inspired by the flavours of Singapore. Smooth and refreshing, each sip evokes the warmth and vibrancy of a sun-filled afternoon in the city.
Since its introduction at our Flagship Boutique, our Singapore Summer Tea Blend has become a favourite among our clients — often enjoyed while discovering our jewellery, celebrating a meaningful occasion or simply exploring something special for oneself.
